Governance Overview
Governance → Overview is the opening screen of the Governance module. It is a one-page snapshot of how far your company policies have progressed on their way from a first draft to a published, signed-off policy: how many policies exist, how many sit at each stage, how each category is doing, and how far each approver has got. You need the Governance access permission to open it.
The numbers, categories and approver names on this page are illustrative sample data shown by the app; they are not yet calculated from the policies in your company. Use the Policies list for the real, current status of every policy. The layout described below is what the page will show once it reads your own data.
The Summary Cards
Six cards run across the top: Total Policies, Published, Passed, In Voting, Under Review and Draft. Each shows a count and an icon. Clicking a card opens the Policies list already filtered to that status (the Total card opens the unfiltered list).
| Stage | What it means for a policy |
|---|---|
| Draft | Being written; nothing has been submitted yet. |
| Under Review / In Voting | Submitted; the voters are deciding. |
| Passed | The vote succeeded; the policy is waiting to be published. |
| Published | Live. This is the version employees are expected to follow. |
The full life cycle is explained on the Policies page.
Overall Progress
One long bar splits all policies into coloured segments, one per stage (Published, Passed, In Voting, Under Review, Draft, Archived), widest where most policies sit. A legend under the bar names each colour and shows its count. Hover a segment to see the stage name and count.
By Category
A row per policy category (for example Accounting & Finance, Human Resources) shows how many of its policies are published out of the total, with a filled bar for the percentage. Categories are the ones you maintain under Policy Categories.
Approver Progress
A row per approver shows their initials, a progress bar and an approved-out-of-total count — a quick way to see who is keeping up with the voting workload and who is behind.
To act on a policy that is waiting for you, open the policy itself and use its Voting tab. The Overview is for reading progress, not for voting.
