Frequently Asked Questions
The questions people ask most often about ANTE itself β signing in, looking after your own account, why a menu is missing, getting help, and where the everyday screens live. These answers are deliberately short; each one links to the page that covers the topic in full. For questions about a specific module, see that module's own guide in the Module Guides.
Signing In
What is the domain prefix, and where do I find mine?
The domain prefix is your company's short code. It tells ANTE which company you belong to, and it is the same value on your phone and on your computer. You enter it alongside your username and password on the mobile sign-in screen. If you don't know yours, your system administrator can tell you. See Signing In.
After your first successful sign-in from the home-screen icon, ANTE remembers the last domain prefix you used and fills it in for you. If you use ANTE for more than one company on the same phone, check the pre-filled company before signing in.
Do I sign in with my username or my email address?
With your username β the one your administrator provided (your activation email also states it). Usernames are not case-sensitive, so Juan.DeLaCruz and juan.delacruz reach the same account, but passwords are case-sensitive, so check Caps Lock. Your email address is used for password resets and verification codes, not for signing in. See Step-by-Step Login Instructions.
I was just hired and never received a password. How do I get in?
New employees set their own password instead of being given one. Look for the email titled "Activate your [company] account on ANTE" and click Set My Password. Choose a password that satisfies the live checklist shown on the page, then click Activate Account and sign in. The activation link expires after 7 days β if yours has lapsed, ask your administrator to resend the invitation. See Activating a New Employee Account.
I forgot my password β what now?
Click Forgot Password? on the login page, enter your email address, and follow the reset link ANTE emails you. If an administrator resets it for you instead, you'll be sent straight to a Change Your Password screen the next time you sign in. See Forgot Your Password?.
Why is ANTE asking me for a six-digit code?
Because it doesn't recognize the device you're using. When you add an account on a new device, ANTE emails a 6-digit code to the address on that account (shown partly hidden, such as j***@example.com); type it into Verification Code and click Verify. Use Resend if it doesn't arrive, and check your spam folder. Once verified, the device is remembered and the step is skipped next time. Some companies also require a one-time passcode when signing in on a phone. See New-Device Verification.
Why does it say my account is locked?
Too many failed sign-in attempts lock an account. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or ask your administrator to unlock it immediately. See Troubleshooting Login Issues.
Can I sign in with Google, Facebook, or Slack?
Only if your administrator has enabled it β you'll see a More sign-in options button below the Login button when they have. The provider account also has to be linked to your ANTE account first, from the Connections tab of your profile; otherwise you're sent back to the login page with a message saying no ANTE account is linked. See Signing In with Google, Facebook, or Slack and Connections Tab.
Your Account and Preferences
Why was I signed out while I was away?
Some companies configure an idle timeout. If your account has one and you go that many minutes without moving the mouse, clicking, scrolling, or typing, ANTE signs you out and returns you to the login page with a message explaining why β just sign back in. A different message, saying your demo access ended, means a trial window closed rather than an idle timeout; sign in again and use Request Access to ask for more time. See Staying Signed In.
Why was I sent to a 'Change Your Password' screen right after signing in?
That screen appears the first time you sign in on a new account, after an administrator resets your password, and when your password has passed your company's expiry limit. You have to set a new password before doing anything else β the only other option is to sign out. If your password is merely close to expiring, you get a dismissible warning instead, with a Change it now link. See First-Time Login.
How do I change my password?
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, choose Manage Account, and open the Security tab. Enter your current password, then the new one twice. A strength indicator and a live checklist show each rule as you satisfy it, and Change Password stays disabled until every rule passes. See Change Password.
How do I update my name, contact details, or bank details?
On the Profile tab of My Profile, edit the fields and click Submit for Approval β profile edits are reviewed by HR rather than applied immediately, and you can attach supporting documents in the confirmation dialog. The form stays editable while a request is pending, and re-submitting replaces the pending one. Government and Bank sub-tabs appear only when your account is linked to an employee record. See My Profile.
How do I change or remove my profile picture?
On the Profile tab, click Upload under your avatar and pick a JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP file no larger than 2 MB. Anything else is rejected and nothing changes. Remove β shown only once you have a real picture β puts your initials back after you confirm. See Profile Picture.
How do I check which devices are signed in as me?
The Sessions tab of My Profile lists every device currently signed in, with its browser and operating system, IP address, and how long ago the session started. The one you're on is marked Current. Use Log Out Device on anything you don't recognize, or Log Out All Others to clear everything except your current session. See Sessions Tab.
Can I use ANTE in Japanese or Thai?
Yes. The Preferences tab of My Profile offers English, Japanese (ζ₯ζ¬θͺ), and Thai (ΰΈ ΰΈ²ΰΈ©ΰΈ²ΰΉΰΈΰΈ’), and the interface switches as soon as you pick one β there is no separate save button. The same tab sets your appearance to Light, Dark, or System. See Language.
How do I turn notifications on or off?
Open Preferences β Notifications and turn on the Push notifications switch, then choose Allow on your browser's permission prompt. Three toggles below it β Workspace notifications, Chat messages, and Support tickets β each default to on and can be turned off individually. The setting applies to the device you're on; other devices keep their own. See Notifications.
On iPhone and iPad, push notifications only work once you've added ANTE to your Home Screen β a regular Safari tab cannot receive them. See Push Notifications.
Access and Permissions
Why can't I see a module or menu item my colleague can see?
Because what you can reach is decided by your role. If your role doesn't grant a screen, that screen simply isn't there for you β it's hidden rather than shown greyed out, and the same rule hides features attached to it, such as the AI Assistant button on that page. Nothing is wrong with your account; ask your administrator to grant the access you need. See Roles.
What is the difference between a role and a user level?
A user level is a reusable permission pack scoped to one module (for example an HR pack within Manpower). A role is what a person holds β it combines one or more user levels, sits in a department, and has a position in the organization hierarchy. Permissions are never ticked one by one on a role; they arrive through the user levels assigned to it. See Permissions Model and User Levels.
What does Full Access mean?
Full Access is a checkbox on a role that grants every permission in the system and overrides the user-level assignment entirely β a full-access role needs no user levels at all. Everyone else is scoped: they get exactly the combined permissions of the user levels their role holds. See Roles.
How do I ask for more access?
Ask your system administrator β access is changed by editing your role, or by moving you to a different one. Bear in mind that administrators only see and manage roles at their own level and below, so if your role sits above the person you asked, the change has to come from someone more senior. See Visibility & Permissions.
Getting Help, Support Tickets, and the AI Assistant
How do I raise a concern?
From ANTE Mobile, open the menu and tap Raise a concern, or tap the lifebuoy icon on the Messages tab. Choose whether Ante Management or My Company should handle it (company tickets also need a Department, and everyone in that department can see and answer it), then fill in a Subject, Description, and any Attachments. You don't set a category or priority β ANTE classifies both automatically after you submit. See Filing a Concern.
Where do I track my tickets, and who can reply?
The Messages tab groups them into My Tickets (every ticket you raised, at any status) and Assigned to Me; people eligible to handle tickets also see Ongoing Tickets and Support Queue. Unread replies show a badge on the tab and on the ticket's row. Only the requester and the assignee can reply, and once a ticket is resolved replies are locked until the requester reopens it. See Finding Your Tickets.
Why does my support agent's name look different from a real name?
On tickets addressed to Ante Management, the agent handling your ticket is shown under a per-ticket display name and avatar (for example, "Riley Santos") instead of their real name, to protect their identity β activity lines like "claimed the ticket" use the same pseudonym, tagged (Customer Support). It can change if a different agent later takes over the ticket. Tickets addressed to My Company are unaffected β you always see your colleagues' real names there. See Inside a Ticket.
Can I delete a ticket I raised?
Yes, but only your own, and only once it is Resolved or Closed β a Delete button then appears next to Reopen. Deleting is permanent: it removes the whole conversation and its attachments for everyone, including support staff. Tickets left Resolved or Closed for more than 30 days are deleted automatically, so save anything you need before then. See Deleting a Ticket You Submitted.
What should I include when I contact support?
Your username, the module you were in, what you were trying to do, the exact error message, and a screenshot if you have one β that combination usually removes a whole round of questions. Support is reachable at support@ante.ph and (02) 8888-ANTE, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. See Help & Support.
Where is the AI Assistant, and what can it do?
It's a chat panel on a handful of screens β Settings β Roles, User Levels, Users, Departments, and Workspace β Processes β opened from the robot icon in the page header (labelled Edit with AI in the Process Builder). It lists, creates, updates, and deletes that screen's records from plain-language instructions, and can read attached images or spreadsheets to create many records at once. See AI Assistant.
Can the AI Assistant do things I'm not allowed to do myself?
No. It acts with your own permissions, so anything it refuses is something your role doesn't allow either. The button doesn't even appear on a screen you can't open. See What It Can Do.
Will the AI Assistant delete something without asking?
No. Before deleting a record, deactivating a user, resetting a password, or anything else that can't easily be undone, it describes exactly what it is about to do and waits for you to confirm. See Confirmation Before Destructive Actions.
Can I ask Ante questions from Slack?
If your company has the Slack integration set up, yes β mention @ante with your question in a channel and the answer comes back in the thread, while sensitive answers such as payroll or financial data arrive as a direct message instead. /ante followed by a title creates a task attributed to you. Both require you to link your own Slack account first, under Profile β Connections. See Slack Integration.
Browsers, Phones, and Troubleshooting
Which browsers does ANTE support?
Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari, kept reasonably up to date. JavaScript must be enabled, and you need a stable internet connection. See Getting Started with ANTE.
Is there a mobile app, and do I need a separate account for it?
There's a mobile version of ANTE, not a separate product β the same account, the same data, and the same permissions, so a change on your phone shows on the desktop immediately. Open your company's usual address on a phone and you're redirected to mobile.ante.work automatically. To get a full-screen app icon, add it to your home screen: on iPhone use Share β Add to Home Screen in Safari; on Android use Chrome's three-dot menu β Install app. See Using ANTE on Your Phone.
The mobile version is built for what you do away from your desk β checking tasks, replying to a discussion, filing a request, viewing your payslip. Reports, settings, and long forms are still best done on a computer.
Pages are loading slowly β what can I try?
Check your internet connection, close browser tabs you aren't using, and log out and back in. Clearing your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Windows, Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac) helps when a page loads oddly or looks broken. If it persists, contact IT. See Help & Support.
A record I expected isn't showing, or the data looks out of date.
Check your filters and date ranges first β that explains most "missing" records. Refresh the page (F5) when figures look stale. If a whole screen or section is absent rather than empty, it's a permissions matter for your administrator, not a data one. See Help & Support.
I got a message saying the request could not reach the server β what does that mean?
ANTE now tells apart a few situations that used to all show the same generic "Network Error." If your device has no internet connection, you're told to check it; if the server simply took too long to respond, you're told the request timed out. Otherwise, you'll see a message saying the request could not reach the server β which happens either because a security filter rejected the content you submitted (most often when it includes scripts or unusual markup) or because the server was unreachable. Try again, and contact your administrator if it keeps happening. This can appear on any screen that saves or submits data, not just one specific page.
Where Do I Find...?
A few of the most-asked destinations. Anything not listed here has a full guide in the Module Guides.
Where do I find my payslip, leave credits, and shift schedule?
In the My Employment Information widget on your Dashboard. It's a self-service, read-only view of your own records β personal details, job and banking information, shift schedule, allowances, documents, contract, government IDs, leave credits, deductions, and time sheet β each opening in its own dialog via Review. On a phone, the dashboard carries a payslip card as well. See My Employment Information.
Where do I find the work assigned to me?
On the Tasks page, which groups your work into tabs β what you're responsible for, what you're collaborating on, what you handed to someone else, and what's closed. On a phone the same list sits behind the Tasks button in the bottom bar. See Tasks.
Where do I find things waiting for my approval?
In the Review tab of the Tasks page β there is no separate approval screen. Both work sent to you for sign-off and tasks routed to you by a workflow land there. Approvers on a phone get an extra Approvals button in the middle of the bottom bar. See Approval & Review Tasks.
Where do I find employee records?
Under Manpower β Employee Records, which is the HR view of everyone in the company and needs the matching permissions. Your own records are on your Dashboard instead. See Employee Records (HRIS).
