Assigned Tasks

Track the tasks you created and delegated to other people. "Assigned" is one of the tabs on the Tasks page, so you stay on the same screen and simply switch tabs to see work you handed off.

Overview

The Assigned tab lists tasks that you created and gave to someone else β€” the work you delegated rather than the work assigned to you. A task appears here when:

  • You are the creator of the task, and
  • It is assigned to at least one other person (not only to yourself), and
  • It is still open (it has not moved to a closed/Done status).

Once a delegated task is completed and closed, it leaves the Assigned tab. Approval/process steps are not shown here β€” only normal tasks.

How to Open the Assigned Tab

Step 1: Go to the Tasks page

  1. In the sidebar, open Workspace.
  2. Click Tasks.

Step 2: Switch to the Assigned tab

In the tab row near the top of the page, click Assigned. The number badge on the tab shows how many delegated tasks you currently have open.

The same tab row also contains:

  • Tasks – your own active tasks
  • Review – tasks waiting for your approval/review
  • Paused – tasks that have been paused
  • Assigned – tasks you delegated to others (this tab)
  • Collaborate – tasks where you are a collaborator
  • Archived – archived tasks

Counters

Four summary cards sit at the top of the page:

  • My Tasks – your active task count
  • For Review – tasks awaiting review
  • Overdue – active tasks past their due date
  • Completed – tasks marked done

Task Type Scope

Above the tabs is a row of scope buttons that narrow every tab (including Assigned) to a task type:

  • All
  • Project Tasks
  • Process Tasks
  • Standalone
  • Done

Columns

In the Assigned tab, the task table shows:

  • Title
  • Project – project code or name (blank for standalone tasks)
  • Status – the current board status (colored chip)
  • Priority – priority level (colored chip)
  • Assignee – the person the task is assigned to
  • Due Date – overdue and due-soon dates are highlighted
  • Age – how long ago the task was created

Filtering and Searching

A filter bar lets you refine the list:

  • Search – type in the search box to match by task title, project name/code, or assignee name
  • Assignee – filter by who the task is assigned to
  • Priority – filter by priority level
  • Status – filter by board status
  • Due Date – choose from All Dates, Overdue, Due Today, Due This Week, Due Next Week, or No Due Date
  • Project – filter by project (shown when project tasks are present)

When one or more filters are active, a Clear button appears showing the active filter count β€” click it to reset all filters.

Table or Board view

Use the view toggle on the right of the filter bar to switch between:

  • Table view – the default list shown above
  • Board view – tasks grouped into status columns

Working With a Delegated Task

Open task details

Click any row to open the task detail dialog, where you can review and change the task. To open it in a separate browser tab, right-click the row and choose Open in New Tab.

Quick actions (right-click a row)

Right-clicking a task row opens a context menu with:

  • View Details – open the task detail dialog
  • Open in New Tab – open the task on its own page
  • Mark as Done – move the task to the Done status
  • Mark In Progress – set the task to In Progress
  • Move to Backlog – move the task back to the backlog
  • Pause Task / Resume Task – pause the task (until the next day) or resume it
  • Archive – archive the task (available to the creator on normal tasks)
  • Delete – permanently delete the task

Reassign or change details

Inside the task detail dialog you can edit task metadata inline by clicking the value, including:

  • Assignee – change or add the people assigned (this is how you reassign a delegated task)
  • Status
  • Priority
  • Due Date and Start Date
  • Project – moving a task to another project asks for confirmation first, since it can clear project-specific data such as its milestone, team role, and custom field values (see Moving a Task to Another Project)

You can also add comments, attachments, notes, subtasks, and dependencies from the detail view to keep delegated work moving.

Common Tasks

View what you've delegated

  1. Open Workspace β†’ Tasks.
  2. Click the Assigned tab.
  3. Review the list of open tasks you assigned to others.

Reassign a delegated task

  1. In the Assigned tab, click the task row to open its detail dialog.
  2. Click the Assignee field.
  3. Add or remove the people assigned.
  4. The change saves immediately.

Mark a delegated task complete

  1. Right-click the task row in the Assigned tab.
  2. Choose Mark as Done.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Use the badge – the number on the Assigned tab tells you at a glance how much delegated work is still open.
  • Filter by assignee – use the Assignee filter to focus on one person's workload.
  • Watch the Due Date column – overdue and due-soon dates are highlighted so you can follow up early.
  • Switch to Board view – the board groups delegated tasks by status, making bottlenecks easy to spot.

πŸ’‘ Note: A task leaves the Assigned tab once it is closed/Done. Until then, this tab is your single place to monitor everything you've delegated.
