Due Tasks
Stay on top of deadlines by filtering the Tasks list to show overdue and upcoming work.
Overview
There is no separate "Due Task" screen. Due-date management lives on the main Tasks page, where a Due Date filter narrows the list to overdue or upcoming tasks, an Overdue counter shows how many active tasks have passed their due date, and due dates are color-highlighted in the table.
Getting There
- Open Workspace in the sidebar.
- Click Tasks.
- Use the Due Date filter (described below) to focus on tasks by deadline.
You can also jump straight to overdue tasks from the project dashboard's Overdue Tasks counter, which opens the Tasks page pre-filtered to overdue.
The Overdue Counter
At the top of the Tasks page, four counter cards summarize your work:
- My Tasks β your active tasks
- For Review β tasks awaiting review/approval
- Overdue β active tasks whose due date has already passed
- Completed β tasks marked done
The Overdue card counts only active tasks that have a due date in the past.
Filtering by Due Date
In the filter bar, open the Due Date dropdown and choose one of:
- All Dates β no due-date filter (default)
- Overdue β tasks past their due date
- Due Today β tasks due today
- Due This Week β tasks due between today and the end of the current week
- Due Next Week β tasks due during the following week
- No Due Date β tasks that have no due date set
You can combine the Due Date filter with the other filters in the bar:
- Search β match by task title, project name/code, or assignee
- Assignee β filter to one person
- Priority β filter by priority level
- Status β filter by board status/lane
- Project β filter to one project (shown when project tasks exist)
When one or more filters are active, a Clear button (showing the number of active filters) appears to reset them all at once.
Reading the Task List
Each row shows:
- Title β the task name
- Project β the project code or name (or β if standalone)
- Status β the current board lane (color chip)
- Priority β the priority level (color chip)
- Assignee β who the task is assigned to
- Due Date β the deadline, color-coded:
- Red when the task is overdue
- Highlighted when the task is due today or tomorrow
- Age β how long ago the task was created
Click any row to open its full details. You can switch between Table and Board views using the view toggle on the right of the filter bar.
Acting on a Due Task
Right-click a task row (or open it) to use the available actions:
- View Details β open the task
- Open in New Tab β open the task in a new browser tab
- Mark as Done β complete the task
- Mark In Progress β move the task to In Progress
- Move to Backlog β send the task back to the backlog
- Pause Task / Resume Task β pause the task (with a reason) or resume it
- Archive / Delete β remove the task (availability depends on your role for that task)
To change a deadline, open the task and edit its due date inside the task detail view.
Common Tasks
Reviewing Overdue Tasks
- Go to Workspace β Tasks.
- Open the Due Date filter and select Overdue.
- Review each task β overdue due dates appear in red.
- Update status, reassign, or open the task to adjust the due date.
Checking What's Due This Week
- Go to Workspace β Tasks.
- Open the Due Date filter and select Due This Week (or Due Today).
- Work through the list, optionally narrowing by Assignee or Priority.
Completing a Due Task
- Open the task from the list.
- Update its status, or right-click the row and choose Mark In Progress while you work on it.
- When finished, choose Mark as Done (or move it to the Done lane).
Tips and Best Practices
- Check Overdue first β the Overdue counter tells you at a glance how much is past due.
- Combine filters β pair the Due Date filter with Assignee or Priority to focus your review.
- Watch the colors β red due dates flag overdue work without opening each task.
- Adjust deadlines in the task β due dates are changed inside the task detail view, not from the list.
