Archived Tasks
View, restore, or permanently delete tasks you have archived. The Archived view lives inside the main Tasks page and lists the tasks you created that were removed from your active lists.
Overview
When you archive a task, it is removed from your active task lists but is not erased. Archived tasks are kept in a separate Archived view where you can bring them back (Restore) or remove them for good (Delete). Only tasks you created appear in your Archived view.
How to Open the Archived View
- In the sidebar, go to Projects → Tasks.
- On the Tasks page, find the row of status tabs (Tasks, Review, Paused, Assigned, Collaborate).
- Click the Archived tab on the right of that row. It shows a badge with the number of archived tasks when you have any.
The table switches to your list of archived tasks.
The Archived List
Each archived task shows:
- Title — the task name (shows "Untitled Task" if it has no name)
- Project — the project code or name the task belongs to (shows "—" if none)
- Status — the task's lane/status chip (for example, its column on the board)
- Archived — the date the task was archived
- Restore button — bring the task back to your active lists
- Delete button — permanently remove the task
If you have no archived tasks, the view shows "No archived tasks".
How to Archive a Task
Archiving is done from your active task list, not from the Archived view:
- On the Tasks page, in the table, right-click the task you want to archive.
- In the context menu, choose Archive.
- The task is removed from your active lists and moves into the Archived view.
The Archive option only appears for tasks you created that are normal tasks. If you are only an assignee on a task (not the creator), you will not see Archive — you may instead see a Delete option depending on your role.
Common Tasks
Restoring an Archived Task
- Go to Projects → Tasks and click the Archived tab.
- Find the task you want to bring back.
- Click the Restore button on that row.
- The task is removed from the Archived view and returns to your active task lists.
Permanently Deleting an Archived Task
- Go to Projects → Tasks and click the Archived tab.
- Find the task you want to remove for good.
- Click the Delete button on that row.
- A confirmation appears: "Permanently delete "[task name]"? This cannot be undone."
- Confirm to remove the task permanently.
Permanent deletion cannot be undone. Restore a task instead if there is any chance you will need it again.
Tips and Best Practices
- Restore instead of delete when you are unsure — restoring is always reversible, deleting is not.
- Only your own tasks appear here — the Archived view shows tasks you created, not tasks created by others.
- Check the Archived badge on the Tasks page to see at a glance how many archived tasks you have.
