Deals
The Deals page is where you manage your sales pipeline. Track each opportunity from a new prospect through to a resolved outcome (Won, Lost, or Unqualified).
How to Get Here
In the sidebar, open CRM and click Deals.
Overview
Each deal is a sales opportunity. Deals move through pipeline stages as you progress, and carry contract figures (Total Contract, Monthly Recurring Revenue, Implementation Fee, and Approved Budget Contract) so you can see the value of your pipeline at a glance.
Page Layout
- New Deal button (top right) - Create a new deal.
- View toggle - Switch between Grid, Board, and Spreadsheet views.
- Pipeline settings (gear icon, Board view only) - Opens Pipeline Settings to configure stages.
- Filters (Grid, Board, and Spreadsheet views) - Filter by Stage, Type, Owner, and Closing Date.
Deal Views
Use the view toggle to switch between three layouts. Board is the default.
Board View (Kanban)
Displays deals as cards in columns, one column per pipeline stage.
- Drag a deal card between columns to change its stage.
- Drag a card onto a resolution zone to close it: Won, Lost, or Unqualified. You will be asked for a reason.
- Click the + in a column header to create a new deal already set to that stage.
- Click a column header to rename the stage inline.
- Click the gear icon to open Pipeline Settings.
Grid View
Displays deals as cards in a grid. Each card lets you view, edit, or delete the deal.
Spreadsheet View
Displays deals in a table for quick scanning. Click a row to open the deal.

Common Tasks
Creating a New Deal
- Click New Deal (or the + in a Board column to start in that stage).
- Fill in the deal details:
- Deal Name (required)
- Deal Type - Pick one, or type a new name to create it on the spot.
- Deal Source - Pick one, or type a new name to create it on the spot.
- Pricing Tier - If the deal type has pricing tiers, selecting one auto-fills the contract amounts.
- Stage - Starting pipeline stage.
- Relationship Owner - Assign a team member.
- Close Date (required) and Target Close Date.
- Win Probability (%) - Defaults to 50.
- Contract amounts: Approved Budget Contract, Monthly Recurring Revenue, Implementation Fee, Total Contract.
- Description.
- Click Create Deal.
The Create Deal button stays disabled until a Deal Name and a Close Date are entered.
When you pick a pricing tier, the contract amounts auto-fill from the tier's standard pricing. If you change an amount, a variance indicator shows the difference. If a discount on Total Contract exceeds the tier's maximum allowed discount, a warning is shown.
Editing a Deal
- Open the deal (click a card or row), then click Edit in the deal's toolbar — or use the edit action directly on a Grid card.
- Change any field.
- Click Save Changes.
Moving a Deal Through Stages
In Board View: drag the deal card to the target stage column and drop it.
In the deal form: open the deal for editing, change the Stage field, and save.
Resolving a Deal (Won / Lost / Unqualified)
- In Board View, drag the deal onto the Won, Lost, or Unqualified zone.
- Enter a reason when prompted.
- Confirm. Resolved deals move off the active pipeline and appear under Resolved Deals.
Viewing Deal Details
Open a deal to see a tabbed detail view:
- Overview - Stage, win probability, deal type/source, financials (with variance), people (relationship owner, point of contact), and dates.
- Notes - Notes attached to the deal.
- Attachments - Files attached to the deal.
- Proposals - Proposals (quotations) linked to the deal. Click New Quotation to open a quotation form for the deal; existing proposals in the list reopen the same form.
- Activity - Timeline of activity on the deal.
Exporting a Proposal to PDF
- Open the deal's Proposals tab and either click New Quotation or open an existing proposal from the list.
- In the quotation dialog, click Export PDF at the top, next to the close button.
- ANTE renders the quotation as it currently stands — company header, line items, subtotal, VAT (if taxed), total, payment terms, notes, and signature lines — and downloads it as a PDF.
- If the quotation has no items yet, ANTE asks you to add at least one before it will export.
You don't need to finish or save the proposal first — the PDF always reflects whatever is currently on the form.
Converting a Deal
When a deal is in the Proposal, In Negotiation, or Won stage, a Convert to Project button appears in the deal's toolbar. Use it to convert the deal into a Project or an Engagement, carrying over name, budget, and dates.
Deleting a Deal
- Use the delete action on a Grid card.
- Confirm in the dialog. (Deletion may be restricted by your permissions.)
Tips
- Keep figures current - Update contract amounts so pipeline totals stay accurate.
- Move deals promptly - Drag cards to the right stage as deals progress.
- Use pricing tiers - They auto-fill standard amounts and flag over-discounting.
- Add a reason when resolving - Reasons feed the Win Rate and Loss Reasons analytics on Resolved Deals.
- Export a proposal PDF anytime - the Export PDF button in the quotation dialog works on an unfinished proposal, so you can send a preview before it's saved.
