Contacts (Point of Contact)
Contacts are the individuals you deal with at your client and prospect companies. Each contact is linked to one company and records their name, email, phone, and job title.
Note: This area was previously called "Point of Contact" and is now labelled Contacts in the system. Old bookmarks to the point-of-contact address are automatically redirected to the Contacts list.
Overview
The Contacts list lets you:
- Keep a directory of the people you talk to at each company
- Record each person's email, phone, and job title
- Link every contact to a company
- Create contacts quickly by scanning a business card photo

Common Tasks
Adding a New Contact
- On the Contacts list, click Add Contact.
- Under Contact Information, fill in the form:
- Full Name (required)
- Email (required — must be a valid email address)
- Phone (optional)
- Job Title (optional)
- Company (required — select from the dropdown)
- Click Create Contact.
If a required field is missing or the email is invalid, the form highlights the problem and the contact is not saved.
Creating a Contact by Scanning a Business Card
- On the Contacts list, click Scan Business Card.
- In the dialog, drag and drop a business card image onto the upload area, or click to select one. Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF, and WEBP.
- Click Scan Business Card. The system reads the card and extracts the details.
- Review the Extracted Information. Each detected field shows a confidence level; fields with low confidence are flagged so you can double-check them. Extracted fields include Full Name, Email, Phone, Job Title, Company, Website, and Address.
- To redo the scan with a different image, click Scan Again.
- When the results look right, click Use Results. This opens the Add Contact form pre-filled with the scanned details — review them, select the Company, then click Create Contact.
Note: Business card scanning uses AI and requires AI credentials to be set up in Settings. If AI is not configured, the scan cannot run.
Viewing a Contact
- Click the contact's row in the list.
- The detail page shows the contact's name, email, phone, job title, company, status, and created date.
Editing a Contact
- Open the contact's detail page.
- Click Edit.
- Update any of the fields (Full Name, Email, Phone, Job Title, Company).
- Click Save Changes.
Deleting a Contact
- Open the contact's detail page.
- Click Delete.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears. This action cannot be undone.
Tips
- Use the scanner — scanning a business card is the fastest way to capture a new contact's details.
- Always set the company — every contact must be linked to a company before it can be saved (the scanner does not fill this in for you).
- Check flagged fields — when scanning, review any field marked as low confidence before saving.
- Keep details current — edit a contact whenever their role, email, or phone changes.
