Inactive Users
The Inactive Users page lists user accounts that have been deleted (deactivated). From here you can review those accounts and restore any of them so the person can sign in again.
Overview
When a user is deleted from the Users list, the account is not erased — it is moved here. The Inactive Users page lets you find a former account and reactivate it. This is the only place to bring a deleted user back.
There is no permanent-delete action on this page. Deleted users stay available for restoring.
Visibility is hierarchy-based: like the active Users list, this page only shows deleted accounts whose role sat at your own level or below. A deactivated account whose role is above your level does not appear here.
Getting Here
- Open Settings from the sidebar.
- Go to Users (under Users & Access).
- On the Users list, click the Inactive Users button in the top-right.
The breadcrumb reads Settings › Users › Inactive Users.
To go back, click the Active Users button in the page header (or the back arrow). Both return you to the Users list.
Page Layout
- Search box — find a deleted user by Name or Email.
- Inactive Users table — the list of deleted accounts.
- Active Users button (header) — returns to the active Users list.

Common Tasks
Restoring a User
You can restore a user in two ways:
- Click the Restore button on the user's row, or
- Click anywhere on the user's row.
Either action opens the Restore User confirmation dialog:
- The dialog asks: "Are you sure you want to restore [name]?"
- It notes that the user will be reactivated and will be able to access the system again.
- Click Restore User to confirm (the button shows Restoring… while it works), or click Cancel to close without changes.
On success, a confirmation message appears ("User "[name]" has been restored") and the user is removed from the inactive list and returned to the active Users list.
Tips
- No permanent delete here — this page only restores accounts. Deleting a user from the active Users list is what moves them here in the first place.
- Check the Role column before restoring — the user comes back with the same role and access they had before, so confirm it's still appropriate.
- Use search when the list is long — search by Name or Email to jump straight to the account.
