In Transit Warehouse
An In Transit warehouse is a warehouse type used as a holding location for stock that is moving between other warehouses or locations. It is one of the four warehouse types in the system, alongside Company, Project, and Temporary warehouses.
In Transit warehouses are not managed on a separate screen. They live on the unified Warehouse list, where you can filter the list down to just your In Transit warehouses using a type filter chip.
Overview
The Warehouse list shows every warehouse as a card. Each warehouse is tagged with a type, and you can narrow the list to a single type using the filter chips at the top:
- All
- Company
- Project
- In Transit
- Temporary
Selecting the In Transit chip shows only warehouses created with the In Transit Warehouse type.
How to View In Transit Warehouses
Step 1 — Open the Warehouse list
- Go to Assets → Warehouse.
Step 2 — Filter to In Transit
- In the filter chip row (above the warehouse cards), click the In Transit chip (truck icon).
- The list refreshes to show only In Transit warehouses.
You can also type into the Search warehouses... box to find a warehouse by name. Search and the type filter can be combined.
Page Layout
At the top of the Warehouse list are four summary cards:
| Card | Shows |
|---|---|
| Total Warehouses | Count of warehouses in the current view |
| Total Items | Total item quantity across the warehouses shown |
| Main Warehouses | How many of the warehouses are marked as Main |
| Avg. Utilization | Average capacity utilization across the warehouses |
Below the summary cards is the Search box and the type filter chips, followed by the grid of warehouse cards.
Warehouse Card
Each card displays:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Capacity bar / % | Utilization gauge (items vs. capacity) |
| Name | Warehouse name |
| Badges | Main badge (if it is the main warehouse) and the warehouse type badge (e.g. In Transit Warehouse) |
| Items | Number of items currently in the warehouse |
| Capacity | Configured capacity, or Unlimited if none is set |
| Location | Municipality, province, region — or No location set |
| Project | Linked project (only for Project warehouses) |
| Created date | When the warehouse was created |
Click a card to open that warehouse's detail page.
Common Tasks
Create an In Transit Warehouse
- Go to Assets → Warehouse.
- Click Add Warehouse (top right).
- In the Warehouse Type section, set Warehouse Type to In Transit Warehouse.
- In the Warehouse Details section, fill in:
- Warehouse Name (required)
- Warehouse Capacity (required — a number greater than 0)
- Capacity UOM (optional — e.g. Pallet Positions, Sq. Meters, Units)
- Click Create Warehouse.
📌 Note: Location and Project fields only appear for Company and Project warehouse types. They are not shown when the type is In Transit.
Open a warehouse
- From the Warehouse list (filtered to In Transit if you like), click any warehouse card.
- The warehouse detail page opens, where you can view its inventory and transactions.
Tips
- Use the type chip — the fastest way to see only In Transit warehouses is the In Transit filter chip, not a separate menu page.
- Watch the capacity bar — the percentage gauge on each card shows how full a warehouse is relative to its configured capacity.
- Unlimited capacity — leaving capacity unset (or showing "Unlimited") means the utilization gauge has no ceiling to compare against.
