Warehouse Detail
The Warehouse Detail page is where you manage a single warehouse. From here you can view its information, organize its storage areas, see its inventory and transaction history, and (for a company warehouse) start a stock workflow with the New Stock Request action.
Overview
You reach this page by opening any warehouse from one of the warehouse lists (Company, Project, In Transit, or Temporary). The page shows the warehouse name at the top, a row of action buttons, and a set of tabs you can switch between.
Action Buttons (top of the page)
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| New Stock Request | Company warehouses only. Opens the workflow picker to start a Stock Transfer, Stock Adjustment, or Goods Receiving run with this warehouse pre-filled — see Warehouse Workflows |
| Set as Main | Mark this warehouse as the company's main warehouse (only appears for company warehouses that are not already the main one) |
| Edit | Open the warehouse to change its details |
| Delete | Remove the warehouse |
Tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Information | The warehouse's basic details |
| Areas | The storage areas (zones, rooms, racks) inside the warehouse |
| Inventory | The items currently stored in this warehouse |
| Transactions | The history of items moving in and out of the warehouse |
Common Tasks
Moving, Counting, or Receiving Stock
Direct transfer, refill, and write-off actions have been replaced by approval-gated workflows. On a company warehouse's detail page, click New Stock Request, pick Stock Transfer (move stock to another warehouse), Stock Adjustment (true stock to a physical count), or Goods Receiving (log a non-PO receipt), and fill in the form — the warehouse you started from comes pre-filled. Each run then goes through an approval step before a posting step actually moves the stock. See Warehouse Workflows for the full step-by-step flow, field lists, and approval rules.
Managing Warehouse Areas
The Areas tab lets you divide a warehouse into named storage areas (such as zones, cold rooms, or racks) and track how much each one can hold.
To add an area:
- Open the Areas tab.
- Click Add Area.
- Fill in the form:
- Area Name - a descriptive name (for example, "Zone A", "Cold Room", or "Rack 1"). This is required.
- Capacity - how much the area can hold. This must be a positive number.
- Click Add Area to save it.
To edit an area:
- Find the area in the list and click its pencil (edit) icon.
- Change the Area Name or Capacity.
- Click Save.
To delete an area:
- Click the trash (delete) icon on the area's row.
- Confirm the deletion. This action cannot be undone.
At the top of the Areas tab you'll see the number of areas defined and the Total Area Capacity (the combined capacity of all areas).
Setting the Main Warehouse
For a company warehouse that is not already the main one, a Set as Main button appears in the action row.
- Click Set as Main.
- Confirm the change in the dialog that appears.
The warehouse becomes the company's main/primary warehouse.
Editing or Deleting the Warehouse
- Click Edit to change the warehouse's details.
- Click Delete to remove the warehouse, then confirm in the dialog. Deletion cannot be undone.
