Project Warehouse

A Project Warehouse is a warehouse tied to a specific project. It is used to track inventory allocated to or consumed by that project.

Project warehouses are not a separate screen. They live inside the single, unified Warehouse list alongside Company, In Transit, and Temporary warehouses. You work with them by filtering that list to the Project type and by choosing the Project warehouse type when you create a warehouse.

Where to Find It

  1. Open Assets from the sidebar.
  2. Click Warehouse.
  3. On the Warehouse page, click the Project filter chip above the warehouse cards.

The list now shows only project warehouses. The chips available are All, Company, Project, In Transit, and Temporary.

The old /assets/warehouse/company, /assets/warehouse/project, /assets/warehouse/transit, and /assets/warehouse/temporary addresses now redirect to the single Warehouse page.

Page Layout

The Warehouse page (with the Project chip selected) shows:

  • Summary cards at the top:
    • Total Warehouses
    • Total Items
    • Main Warehouses
    • Avg. Utilization
  • Search warehouses… box — searches warehouses by name.
  • Type filter chips — All / Company / Project / In Transit / Temporary.
  • Warehouse cards — a responsive grid of cards, one per warehouse.
  • Pagination — appears when there is more than one page of results (24 per page).

What Each Warehouse Card Shows

ProjectThe linked project name (shown for project warehouses)
Created dateThe date the warehouse was created

Click any card to open that warehouse's detail page.

Common Tasks

Adding a Project Warehouse

  1. On the Warehouse page, click Add Project Warehouse (or Add Warehouse).
  2. In the Warehouse Type section, set Warehouse Type to Project. (If you arrived via the Add Project Warehouse button, this is already preselected.)
  3. In the Warehouse Details section, fill in:
    • Warehouse Name (required)
    • Warehouse Capacity (required) — must be a positive number.
    • Unit of Measure (UOM) — e.g. Pallet Positions, Sq. Meters, Units. Optional.
    • Location (required for project warehouses) — select from the location list.
    • Project (required for project warehouses) — select the project this warehouse belongs to.
  4. Click Create Warehouse.

The Location and Project fields only appear when the warehouse type is Project. The Project field is what makes the warehouse a project warehouse.

Opening a Project Warehouse

  1. Filter the Warehouse list to Project.
  2. Click the warehouse card.

The detail page opens with these tabs: Information, Areas, Inventory, Transactions, and Documents.

Viewing Project Inventory

  1. Open the project warehouse.
  2. Go to the Inventory tab to see the items held in that warehouse (SKU, item name, stock, estimated cost, size).

Reviewing Project Material Movement

  1. Open the project warehouse.
  2. Go to the Transactions tab to review recorded transactions (date, type, receipt, quantity).

Searching

  • Type a warehouse name in the Search warehouses… box to narrow the list.

Tips

  • Use the Project chip to isolate project warehouses from the rest of the warehouse list.
  • Capacity and UOM drive the utilization percentage shown on each card — set them to track how full a warehouse is.
  • Set a Main warehouse if you need a default; the Main badge marks it on the card.

💡 Note: Creating a project warehouse requires an existing project — the Project field is required and is selected from your list of projects.
