Sales Order
The Sales Order register shows confirmed customer orders that come out of the Order Fulfillment workflow's Create Sales Order step. It is separate from Point of Sale — a walk-in/counter sale rings up in POS, while a Sales Order here is the B2B order confirmation generated as an order-fulfillment workflow runs (quotation → sales order → purchasing → delivery → invoicing). In ANTE, Sales Order lives inside the Assets module, right next to Order Fulfillment.
Overview
Sales Orders are not created directly from this screen. A Sales Order is materialized automatically when someone locks in the Create Sales Order step of an order-fulfillment order — using the client, items, and prices carried over from that order's quotation, plus the expected delivery date and notes entered on the step. This screen is where you look those orders up, review their items, and check whether they've been invoiced yet.
Finding Sales Orders
- Open the Assets menu in the sidebar.
- Click Sales Order (just below Order Fulfillment).
Sales Orders Table
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| SO # | The sales order number |
| Client | The customer the order is for |
| Quotation | The quotation number the order was confirmed from |
| Expected Delivery | The expected delivery date entered on the Create Sales Order step |
| Total | The order's grand total |
| Status | The order status (see below) |
| Created | Date the order was created |
Use the search box to find an order by its SO number or client name. Click any row to open its detail page.
Sales Order Status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | A new sales order, not yet invoiced |
| Confirmed | Order confirmed |
| In Progress | Order fulfillment under way |
| Completed | The order has been invoiced |
| Cancelled | The order was cancelled |
A new sales order starts as Pending. Once the order-fulfillment workflow's Create Invoice step raises the invoice for it, the sales order is automatically moved to Completed and linked to that invoice — you don't change the status by hand from this screen.
Sales Order Detail
Clicking a row opens the order's detail page:
- Header — the sales order number, client name, status badge, and Grand Total.
- Order Information — Quotation (the source quotation number), Expected Delivery, Created By, Created (date), and Notes.
- Invoicing — shows Not yet invoiced until the Create Invoice step runs. Once invoiced, this section shows the linked Invoice number (click it to open the invoice in Treasury → Receivables) plus that invoice's VAT (12%) and Total (incl. VAT).
- Items — the order's line items: Item, Qty, Unit Price, Discount, and Total.
The Grand Total on the Sales Order itself is the net amount — it does not include VAT. Tax is decided once, on the invoice, when the Create Invoice step runs; that's why the VAT and tax-inclusive total only appear in the Invoicing section, and only after the order has been invoiced.
