Dispatch Treatment

Dispatch Treatment tells payroll what to do while an employee is on a dispatch, for example a trainee posted abroad. The dispatch itself is recorded on the employee's record; this page decides what that dispatch means for pay. Each switch is independent, so you can turn on only what your company needs. A dispatch type with no treatment here is informational only and payroll is unchanged.

Opening Dispatch Treatment

  1. Open Manpower in the sidebar.
  2. Go to Payroll Setup.
  3. Click Dispatch Treatment.

It uses the same permissions as the Payroll Group configuration: viewing needs access, Add treatment and the edit pencil need update, and the remove button needs delete.

The treatment switches

Suspend withholding tax
No income tax is withheld for the dispatched part of a cutoff. Income earned in the Philippines normally stays subject to withholding unless the employee is a non-resident or the income is exempt, so confirm with your tax adviser first. SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions always continue.
Pay the full scheduled period
No attendance is needed: absences, lateness, undertime, overtime, and premium pay are ignored and every scheduled working day is paid.
Suppress flagged allowances
Allowances marked Suppress during dispatch are skipped for the dispatched part of the cutoff.
Skip the year-end true-up
Off by default. The December true-up still settles the annual tax, so a full year of suspended withholding is collected in the final period unless you turn this on.
Info

A cutoff that a dispatch starts or ends inside is prorated by the share of scheduled work days the dispatch covers.

Adding or editing a treatment

The Add treatment dialog with its four independent switches
  1. Click Add treatment

Or click the pencil on an existing row.

  2. Choose who it applies to

Pick the Dispatch type (Trainee, Assignment, Secondment, or Other) and, if you want, a Payroll group. All payroll groups makes it company-wide.

  3. Set the switches and save

Turn on the treatments you need and click Save. The list shows each row's switches as On or Off chips.

To stop applying a treatment, click the remove button on its row; the list reads No treatment configured. when it is empty.

How It Connects

Set up first

  • Payroll Group — a treatment can apply company-wide or to one payroll group, and the group's own setting wins.
  • Allowance Attendance Rules — allowance types carry the Suppress during dispatch switch that this treatment acts on.

Gets its data from

  • Employee Records — the dispatch itself is recorded there; without a treatment here it stays informational.

Feeds into

  • Payroll Time Keeping — the pay-the-full-period treatment counts dispatched scheduled days as present in the timesheet.
  • Payroll Center — computes pay with the treatments applied to the dispatched share of each cutoff.
  • Annualization — the year-end true-up still settles annual tax unless Skip the year-end true-up is on.
