Account Schedules
Account Schedules are the working papers behind every balance-sheet line. The first view is a summary that lists each account's closing balance by section. Open any account to see the ledger lines that make up that balance, so each figure on the Balance Sheet can be traced back to the general ledger. Auditors and accountants use it at month-end to support the balances.
Where to Find It
- Click Treasury in the sidebar
- Open Accounting, then Schedules, and select Account Schedules
Choosing the Period and View
Changing the dates takes effect when you click Apply. The page title shows the currency the figures are in.
Reading the Summary
The summary groups accounts by balance-sheet section and shows each account's closing balance. Click an account row to jump into its schedule. Click any amount to open Amount Breakdown, which explains how that number was built.
Reading an Account's Schedule
An account can show up to three sheets, depending on its setup.
- Ledger (detail): the posted journal lines for the account across the period, with the opening balance brought forward and the closing balance tied to the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: the same movements grouped by the dimension you chose under Group by, for example by counterparty.
- Outstanding balance: open items still unsettled at the date, shown for accounts that track open items (receivables and payables by default).
Each sheet ends by comparing its total with the balance per the general ledger. A difference of zero means the working paper ties.
How an account groups its lines, and whether it tracks open items, is set on the account's Edit dialog in the Chart of Accounts (Schedule Grouping and Open-Item Tracking).
Apply Reporting Currency and Export
Apply Reporting Currency translates the whole schedule into a reporting or group currency without posting anything. If an exchange rate is missing, a warning explains that the translation is unavailable. Reset to functional goes back to your company's own currency. The Export to Excel button at the top downloads the schedules for the dates and grouping on screen.
