Fixed Asset Summary
Fixed Asset Summary is the roll-forward of your fixed assets and right-of-use assets, taken from the general ledger. For each asset class it shows the cost (opening, additions, disposals, closing), the accumulated depreciation (opening, prior months, current month, disposals, closing) and the resulting net book value per the ledger. It is the schedule that supports the fixed-asset lines on the Balance Sheet.
Where to Find It
- Click Treasury in the sidebar
- Open Accounting, then Schedules, and select Fixed Asset Summary
Pairing Cost and Depreciation Accounts
The report needs to know which depreciation account belongs to which cost account. On the Chart of Accounts, edit the accumulated-depreciation account, tick Asset Depreciation account and choose its Cost Account. Until at least one pair exists, the page shows "No paired fixed-asset accounts".
Choosing the Period

Reading the Report
Each asset class is one row. Cost runs from opening, through additions and disposals, to closing. Accumulated depreciation runs from opening, through the depreciation charged in prior months and in the current month, less what was released on disposals, to closing. Net book value is cost less accumulated depreciation.
Because the figures come from the ledger, a depreciation run only appears here after its journal is posted.
