Cash & Cash Equivalents
Cash & Cash Equivalents is the cash lead schedule. It lists every cash, bank and petty-cash account with its closing balance, and a total, all taken from the general ledger. It supports the cash line of the Balance Sheet and is the starting point for cash audits and bank reconciliations.
Where to Find It
- Click Treasury in the sidebar
- Open Accounting, then Schedules, and select Cash & Cash Equivalents
Choosing the Period
Click Apply to refresh. If no cash or bank account has a balance for the period, the page says so. Click any amount to open Amount Breakdown, and use Export to Excel to download the schedule.
Reading the Schedule
Each row is one current-asset account whose name contains "cash", "bank" or "petty", with its balance in your company currency. The last row is the total. Compare these balances with your bank statements. If a bank balance differs, use Bank Reconciliation to find out why.
Foreign-currency bank accounts are shown in your functional currency. Run FX Revaluation at month-end so those balances are stated at the closing rate.
