Group View
Group View organizes items into logical groups, making it easier to manage related items together.
Overview
Items can be grouped by category, supplier, project, or custom groupings. Group View displays these groups and allows you to manage items within each group efficiently.
Page Layout
- Create Group button - Make new item group
- Search - Find groups or items
- Groups Panel - List of all groups
- Group Contents - Items within selected group
Groups Panel
- Group name
- Item count in group
- Expand/collapse groups
- Group actions
Group Contents
When you select a group, you'll see:
- All items in that group
- Group totals (quantity, value)
- Actions for batch operations
Common Tasks
Creating an Item Group
- Click + Create Group
- Enter group details:
- Group Name - Descriptive name
- Description - Optional description
- Group Type - Category, Custom, etc.
- Click Save
Adding Items to a Group
- Select the group
- Click Add Items
- Choose items from the list
- Click Add to Group
Removing Items from Group
- Select the group
- Find the item
- Click Remove from Group
- Confirm removal
Batch Operations on Group
- Select the group
- Select items (or select all)
- Choose action:
- Move to warehouse
- Update prices
- Export data
- Apply the action
Group Types
- Category Groups - Based on item categories
- Supplier Groups - Items from same supplier
- Project Groups - Items for specific projects
- Custom Groups - Your own groupings
