Deletion Logs provide an audit trail of all deleted records in the system.

This page is only accessible to users with developer privileges.

Overview

Track what was deleted, when, and by whom. Essential for auditing, troubleshooting, and potential data recovery.

Page Layout

  • Search - Find specific deletions
  • Filter - Filter by type, date, user
  • Date Range - Select time period
  • Logs Table - Deletion records

Log Information

Each log entry shows:

ReasonDeletion reason (if provided)
CompanyAssociated company

Tracks deletions from:

  • Users
  • Companies
  • Projects
  • Tasks
  • Documents
  • And more...

Common Tasks

Searching Deletion Logs

  1. Go to DeveloperSystemDeletion Logs
  2. Use search or filters:
    • By record type
    • By date range
    • By user who deleted
  3. View matching logs

Viewing Deletion Details

  1. Click on log entry
  2. View:
    • Full deleted data
    • Deletion timestamp
    • Who performed deletion
    • Any provided reason

Exporting Logs

  1. Apply desired filters
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format
  4. Download file

Filtering Options

Data Recovery

If data recovery is needed:

  1. Find deletion in logs
  2. Review deleted data
  3. Contact system administrator
  4. Recovery may be possible from backups

Note: Not all data can be recovered. Backups have retention limits.

  • Regular Review - Check for unusual deletions
  • Investigate Issues - Use for troubleshooting
  • Compliance - Meet audit requirements
  • Retention Policy - Logs have retention period
