Deal Types help categorize your sales opportunities for better organization and reporting.
Overview
Assigning deal types allows you to:
- Organize deals by category
- Filter and search by type
- Generate reports by deal type
- Track performance by category
Page Layout
- Add Deal Type button - Create new type
- Search - Find deal types
- Deal Types Table - List of all types
Deal Type Information
Each deal type has:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Type Name | Name of the deal type |
| Description | What this type represents |
| Color | Color coding for visual identification |
| Status | Active/Inactive |
Common Tasks
Creating a Deal Type
- Click + Add Deal Type
- Enter type details:
- Name - Descriptive name (e.g., "IT Services", "Product Sale")
- Description - Brief explanation
- Color - Select color for visual coding
- Click Save
Editing a Deal Type
- Find the type in the list
- Click Edit
- Update information
- Click Save
Deactivating a Deal Type
- Find the type
- Click Edit
- Change status to Inactive
- Click Save
Note: Deactivating a type doesn't affect existing deals with that type.
