Grade Level Management

Grade Level Management allows you to configure the academic grade levels used in your school.

Overview

Set up grade levels that students can be assigned to, from kindergarten through senior high school or your specific academic structure.

Page Layout

  • Add Grade Level button - Create new grade
  • Grade Levels Table - List of all grades
  • Reorder - Drag to arrange order

Grade Level Information

Each grade level has:

Common Tasks

Adding a Grade Level

  1. Click + Add Grade Level
  2. Enter details:
    • Name - Full name (e.g., "Grade 1")
    • Short Code - Code (e.g., "G1")
    • Description - Optional description
  3. Click Save

Editing a Grade Level

  1. Find grade in list
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update information
  4. Save changes

Reordering Grade Levels

  1. Drag grade rows up or down
  2. Order is saved automatically
  3. This affects how grades appear in dropdowns

Deactivating a Grade Level

  1. Find grade
  2. Change status to Inactive
  3. Save

Note: Can't deactivate grades with active students.

Tips

  • Consistent Naming - Use standard names
  • Short Codes - Keep codes brief
  • Proper Order - Arrange logically
  • Plan Ahead - Add all needed levels
  • Track Enrollment - Monitor per grade
