Email Configuration
Personal Email Configuration allows you to set up your email preferences and connect your email account for sending messages through ANTE.
Overview
Configure your personal email settings to send emails directly from ANTE using your own email address.
Page Layout
- Email Settings Form - Configure email connection
- Test Connection button - Verify settings work
- Save Settings button - Save configuration
Email Settings
| Setting | Description |

| Email Address | Your email address |
| Display Name | Name shown to recipients |
| SMTP Server | Outgoing mail server |
| SMTP Port | Server port (usually 587 or 465) |
| Username | Email login username |
| Password | Email password or app password |
| Encryption | TLS or SSL |
Common Tasks
Setting Up Email
- Go to Settings → Personal → Email Configuration
- Enter your email details:
- Email Address - your.email@company.com
- Display Name - Your Name
- SMTP Server - Your provider's server
- Port - Usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
- Username - Usually your email address
- Password - Email password
- Select encryption type
- Click Test Connection
- If successful, click Save
Testing Your Connection
- Fill in all settings
- Click Test Connection
- Wait for result:
- ✅ Success - Settings are correct
- ❌ Failed - Check and correct settings
Updating Settings
- Open Email Configuration
- Update necessary fields
- Test connection
- Save changes

Gmail
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
Note: Use App Password, not regular passwordMicrosoft 365 / Outlook
SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587 (TLS)Yahoo Mail

Gmail requires an App Password:
- Go to Google Account → Security
- Enable 2-Step Verification
- Go to App Passwords
- Generate new app password
- Use this password in ANTE
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
- Verify server and port
- Check username and password
- Ensure encryption matches port
- Check firewall settings
Authentication Error
- Use app password for Gmail
- Verify credentials are correct
- Check if less secure apps is enabled
Timeout Error
- Try different port
- Check internet connection
- Verify server address
