User Levels

User Levels provide an additional hierarchy layer for controlling access and workflow approvals.

Overview

While roles define what users can do, levels define their position in the organizational hierarchy. Levels are often used for approval workflows.

Level Information

Each level includes:

Typical hierarchy:

Common Tasks

Creating a Level

  1. Click + Add Level
  2. Enter details:
    • Name - Level name
    • Number - Hierarchy position
    • Description - What this level represents
    • Approval Limit - Max amount for approvals
  3. Click Save

Editing a Level

  1. Find level in list
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update information
  4. Click Save

Setting Approval Limits

  1. Open level
  2. Set Approval Limit amount
  3. Save

Example limits:

  • Staff: ₱5,000
  • Supervisor: ₱25,000
  • Manager: ₱100,000
  • Director: ₱500,000

Level Usage

Levels are used for:

  • Approval Workflows - Route approvals by level
  • Escalation - Escalate to higher levels
  • Reporting Structure - Define hierarchy
  • Access Scope - View data by level

Workflow Integration

In approval workflows:

  1. Request submitted
  2. Routes to appropriate level
  3. If exceeds limit, escalates up
  4. Continues until approved

Tips

  • Clear Hierarchy - Define levels logically
  • Reasonable Limits - Set practical approval amounts
  • Match Organization - Reflect actual structure
  • Document Purpose - Explain each level's role
  • Regular Review - Update as organization changes
